We all get visits from unwanted guests every now and then. Huge pimples are the thing of nightmare, which makes us feel helpless. To begin with, I would say, avoid getting pimple in the first place by maintaining a clean routine. Prevention is better than cure. Maintain a healthy clean diet, avoid junk and chocolates, follow a clean skin care routine. But I know, even after all that, sometimes, pimples just sneak up on you, making you feel angry and irritated all at once. For those times, follow these simple, 4 steps to reduce pimple overnight.
1. Ice pack: Take a couple of ice cube and wrap it in a thin muslin cloth and put the pack on your pimple and keep it there for 15 to 20 minutes. The cold ice pack helps in calming down the irritation, reduces the inflammation and shrinks the pores, forcing the gunk and dirt out of the pimple.
2. Ginger Juice: Once you are done with the ice pack therapy, take a few drops of ginger juice(squeezed freshly at home) and apply in on to the cold pimple and let it dry.
3. Pimple cream: Once the ginger juice is dry, apply a pimple cream that you own on top of the ginger juice. If you don't own a pimple cream then buy one from the drug store, Clearasil is one of the many popular, easily available pimple creams. Let the pimple cream dry.
4. Moisturize: Once the pimple cream dries out, apply moisturizer all over your face and go to sleep.
The next morning, you should find that the huge pimple has reduced to a small one. Now, continue these steps everyday until the pimple completely vanishes, which should take about 2-3 days.
