How to Style crop tops and maxi skirts and Skyride Luge in Singapore
I know its been a while since I last posted here. I was travelling in Singapore for the last week and got back just last night. But frankly, I think I had been slacking with my blog posts even before that – there is no excuse really, sometimes when I get really busy with my job, I start feeling a little demotivated and uncreative. Its like, when I have a lot of free time on my hands, creativity just flows in my system and makes me want to write 5 interesting posts a week. But when my mind is occupied with work 9 hours a day, my system feels a little devoid of creative juices, its more exhausting than happy.
But I have realized that blogging is like a drug to me, the longer I go without blogging, the more depressed I feel – like I am wasting away my precious youth in being lazy. I hate it! It affects my mood more than you realize – the more I blog the happier I feel.
But anyways, as I mentioned before, I had been traveling in Singapore for the past week and it was exactly what I needed. I needed to get away from my exhausting work and chill for a bit! It was wonderful. I have been trying to keep you all updated about my travels through my instagram. Do follow me here if you already aren’t, I post almost daily!
This is my first outfit post from Singapore! I wore this crop bustier and maxi skirt on my first day to Sentosa Island. Sentosa Island is a massive entertainment center/island in Singapore which houses some of the most amazing places like the Universal Studios, SEA aquarium, Underwater world, Butterfly park, etc. Its so filled with entertainment that its impossible to cover the entire island in a days time! In fact, I took two days to experience the entire island. This outfit is from day 1 during which I visited the beach and went skyline Luging. Yes I Luged in a skirt – I actually didn’t plan to luge that day at all and had a different plan of visiting the under water world. But plans get changed and Skyline Luge happened.
I don’t regret it one bit though! It was so much fun – They take you to the mountains peak in these skyride cars and you have to luge back all the way down to the mountains base in these tiny cars which you have to operate yourself. I couldn’t get a lot of pictures of the luge because – well imagine trying to take selfies of yourself when you are hurling down a mountain steep in a tiny car! impossible right? But I will insert a picture of a luge for your reference. But I did manage to take a selfie on my way up the mountain in the skyride though. I enjoyed the whole experience so much that I went thrice! After which I stopped by the beach for a little drink. Oh and I also saw the magical fountain and the famous merlion of Singapore
I did manage to get a few outfit pictures but I must warn you that they are not very glamorous! Singapore is a VERY humid place filled with so much activity that you end up running from one place to the other without realizing the passage of time. It was very hard for me to stop and manage photos. But I did it for you guys! Anyways, I will blog about my full Singapore experience with pictures in another post. But for now, enjoy this outfit of the day post!
