Late Fall/Early Winter Outfit from asos.com & Why Its Bad To Be Surronded By Non-Photographers

One of the many drawbacks of being surrounded by impatient, non-photographers is that you will have to relay upon your tripod and that 10 seconds timer your camera comes with to shoot your own outfit-of-the-day posts. Its so much easier to just take selfies of makeup tutorials with both your hands firmly holding the camera. Now you know why my blog lacks those obsessive OOTD’s?

This time around, I wanted to shoot my outfit-of-the-day post outside the confines of my room. Because, I don’t know about you, but I am kind of bored by those repetitive backgrounds that keeps appearing in all my photos. So my tripod and I decided to move all the way out of my room to my balcony[don't laugh]. Next time around, I promise we will move to some picturesque place if I manage to convince the impatient boyfriend to take pictures of me posing.

But, I couldn’t take as many photos as I would have liked because, I learned that I have some creepy neighbors that I was previously unaware of. Who, for reasons best know to them, thought it would be fun to stand there and leer at me when I was posing for my tripod. You can imagine how uncomfortable that would be? I did manage a few shots before I gave it up as a bad job and moved indoors. I swear, some of these male creatures belong in the planet of apes I tell you.

Anyways, I did a haul post a few months back in which I first showed this outfit. I bought it from asos.com. Many of you wanted me to do a OOTD post with that outfit, so here it is.

Outfit : This outfit is perfect for fall and winter. Because we all love dark, deep colors for fall and the blue in this outfit is so deep and dark and oh so fall. I love it. But the outfit on its own is a little plain, so I added a basic tan belt to the waist to give it a little detailing. I have paired the outfit with my tan boots. I LOVE these boots. I wear it with jeans and dresses. I can safely say that I will be living in these boots this winter. I have worn light brown knee-length socks and scrunched it up to peek thorough the boots. I was debating between white socks and light ankle-length brown socks and finally settled on knee-length light browns because it adds a “grunge” factor to this girly skater dress.
Accessories: I am NOT a fan of chunky arm-candies. I usually like to keep my accessories simple because I cannot be bothered to load my arms and neck with loads of stuff. I always go light on accessories, sometimes completely skipping them. Here I have kept it simple with a simple neck-peice.
Makeup and Hair: I have kept my makeup simple with a winged eye-liner and a bright orange lipstick[again, oh so fall]. I have secured my hair in a simple inverted braid[tutorial here]

Dress: asos.com
Boots: Westside
Belt and Neck piece: Splash
I hope you enjoyed this post,
