Before I start the review, let me tell you that I, in no way, encourage skin whitening. I do not believe that the color of one’s skin has anything to do with their beauty. Features play a far important role in determining one’s physical beauty than their skin color.
Having said that, I decided to review Za True White Cleansing Foam because apart from its whitening properties, true white foam also has Vitamin C granules. Vitamin C is scientifically known to improve skin’s texture by reducing pigmentation and aiding anti-aging. It is known to brighten dull skin.
Vitamin C is the best anti-aging scource for oily skin because it increases collagen production without making the skin oily. Much before Za approched me with their products, I was on the look out for vitamin C produts to include in my skin care routine.
Za is from the brand Shiseido, which is another reason why I decided to take it on. When it comes to skin care, Shiseido is like the Alpha dog.
Za True White Cleansing Foam Review:
Skin type: Oily, acne prone and allergic to acne.
Price: INR 349
Yes, its paraben free.
Texture/feel: It is a creamy cleanser. It has a thick creamy texture with tiny orange vitamin C granules in it and it lathers up nicely.
Results: The cleanser lathers up nicely and has a soapy feel to it. The vitamin C granules are very gentle and scrub the skin mildly – perfect for everyday use.
once you wash it off, the foam leaves a curious silky tight feel behind it. At first I thought that the silky tight feeling was because it was drying out my skin – it feels like that at first. But after several uses, I realized that the silky tight feeling is because it was leaving behind a creamy residue on my skin – like the way your skin feels when you use a water-proof foundation and try to rinse it off using only water? Have you ever felt that? So yeah, the cleanser is suitable for dry skin types also.
It did not break me out nor did it irritate my sensitive, oily skin.
The cleanser is not very effective in removing stubborn makeup but it does brighten the skin considerably. You can see your skin looking brighter after each use. I use it after using my vichy normaderm cleanser.
In Summary: Za True White Cleansing Foam is a mild gentle cleanser which has a mild scrubbing effect. It brightens the skin considerably and can be used along with other deep-cleaning cleansers on a daily basis.
- A mild gentle cleanser which is not harsh on the skin
- Has vitamin C granules which is a known anti-aging ingredient
- The granules have a mild scrubbing effect
- Lathers up nicely
- Leaves behind a creamy residue which in turn gives a curious silky tight feeling when you rinse it off – hence suitable for dry skin

- Paraben Free
- The skin looks brighter after each use
- Not effective in removing stubborn makeup
- The creamy residue and the silky tight feeling it leaves behind might irritate severe acne prone skin
Who should buy this cleanser? I recommend this product to women in their 20’s looking for an anti-aging, mild cleanser. However, I will not recommend it to teenagers who have severe acne
